Sleeping Diva on Mom and Dad’s bed. 10:30 pm 11-4-11
Bed time is a battle with this girl. I blame myself. She has trouble falling asleep and I know she gets that from me. Little Munchkin can fall asleep in 10 seconds flat (gets that from her Dad), all the awhile Diva is fretting that she’ll be the only one awake in the house. Sad isn’t it?
She comes up with a million and one reasons why we should come back in her room to talk to her. She stalls. She whines. She cries and she desperately tries to keep her sister awake. My gosh. She’s only 5 years old. Her wild imagination can really be a curse at times.
Sometimes I am understanding. Most Other times I just want her to go the H to sleep.
And then after one or two or three hours of her fidgeting, reading, thumb-sucking, staring, whispering and just plain non-sleeping, she’s out.
And come 7:00, 7:20, 7:30…etc am when it’s time to wake up for Early Bird day at school…she’s still out.
I tell ya…I just can’t win.

I'm so sorry. Nothing is more frustrating than not getting kids to bed easily. As for them sleeping in. I wouldn't know. No, really. At all. Mine haven't slept in once in 12 years.
