Did he get to shake Bear's hand? He's not a man's man...he's a hoax. But, you gotta hand it to the man who drinks his own urine every other episode. I hope he washed his hands before Casey shook it.
Ahh, Bear. As you see, Ryan thinks he's a hoax (and maybe he is a little) but I think he's much more entertaining than Suvivorman. Was Bear out of breath when Casey saw him? lpz
Yes I did shake Bear's hand. No, he is not short, probably 6'1". I don't think he is a hoax, yes, some of the climbs and routes he takes are staged, however, eating raw zebra, bugs, urine, snake, turtle, etc. is real. He also does endure some pretty crazy terrain.
I was a little bugged with Barnes & Noble, they didn't bring enough books to sell!!! They ran out before he started even signing them. They wouldn't let you meet him unless you bought a book from B&N. So you couldn't even go somewhere else to obtain the book. Poor planning. Luckily my buddies and I were able to buy a book off a lady who was sick of waiting in line. Really cool guy. If you weren't there last night, you were nowhere.
haha.. actually I heard something funny today. My best friend Melissa told me today that she also went to Barnes and Noble last night and that she saw you, Casey. She said that you were SOO funny because you were shouting "BEAR! BEAR! BEAR! BEAR!" hahaha.. And I told her, yup, that's Casey!
Man, I was such a huge, huge fan of Bear Griles and his show. I watched all the episodes and I loved them. That was until all that press hit about him faking everything. Then I saw a youtube video where he dangerously leaped over a ravine "in the middle of nowhere," and then the camera pans a little to the left of him and you see a highway with many cars passing.

Definitely not a man you'd want to kiss. Ugh! Disgusting.

Sad. I lost a hero that day.
Ew. Ask him if he wants a squirrel--I can probably find someone in my ward who has a freshly-killed one that I could overnight to him!
No way! We love that show!
